What is Giving Day
CUGIVEBACK is the name of a 24-hour online giving campaign designed to provide alumni, donors and friends an opportunity to support student scholarships and select funds to shape the future of our students. Through your generous donations, the giving day will provide needed funds to support student scholarships, programs and other funds through a highly visible celebration of Concordia University Irvine and the generosity of those who support the institution.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes--Your gift is tax-deductible as specified in the IRS regulations. Concordia's University is registered as a charitable organization with the State of California Secretary of State. Gifts of securities may have additional tax-benefits, as can bequests, trusts and other life income gifts
To claim a charitable tax deduction, the IRS requires the donor to obtain a receipt for all charitable contributions of $250 or more. A tax gift receipt will be sent to you from University Advancement.

What do CUGIVEBACK donations go towards?
Your donations are allocated to the funds you support through the Giving Day website. There are plenty of options for you to choose from, including scholarships, the Concordia Fund, Athletics and others. Every gift, regardless of size makes an impact in the lives of our students and helps us provide a transformative education and shape the lives of our future leaders!
